The
Art of Living Part 1 Course
In
a fast paced age where stress and depression are widespread, the
toll of stress on physical and mental health can be extremely
high. Stress, anxiety and depression are known to be significant
factors in the onset and progression of a wide spectrum of illnesses
ranging from cancer and HIV-1 infection, to asthma and cardiovascular
disease.
Sudarshan
Kriya® and its accompanying practices (SK&P) are time-honoured
stress management/health promotion techniques whose health benefits
are being validated by modern medical science.
Independent
research has shown that SK&P significantly:
Reduce
levels of stress (reduce cortisol - the "stress" hormone)
Benefit the immune system
Reduce cholesterol
Relieve anxiety and depression (mild, moderate and severe)
Increase anti-oxidant protection
Enhance brain function (increased mental focus, calmness and recovery
from stressful stimuli)
Enhance health, well-being, and peace of mind
These simple, yet powerful breathing practices have a unique advantage
over many other forms of treatment: they are free from unwanted
side-effects, cut health care costs , and are easy to learn and
practice in daily life
So,
what's being healthy?
If
you are feeling rough inside, then you are not healthy;
If
the mind is stiff and not calm, you are not mentally healthy.
When
the emotions are rough, you are emotionally not healthy.
To
attain a perfect state of health, one has to be mentally calm,
steady and emotionally soft.
The
state of healthiness has to flow from the innermost of your being
to the outermost, and vice versa
Clarity
in the mind makes things much easier - understanding your basic
emotions like love, anger, your interaction with people around
you, knowing about your ego, or what your intellect or mind is
saying to you and introspection, will give you a few minutes of
relaxation which is very vital.
So,
what is most important, is, introspection about one's own life
and how to improve the quality of life.
This
intention itself will open many doors for you to feel better about
yourself.
How
do we bring good health to our system?
By
energising our system with the prana — life energy or breath.
The
course package includes once-a-week follow-up sessions all around
the country. Follow-up sessions include a review of the program,
with an emphasis on the practice of the breathing techniques.
The
secret to Health and Lasting Happiness is held in your very Breath
!
Come
learn and experience the effects of Sudarshan Kriya and other
Breathing techniques on your body and mind . . .
